I know, right? Vegas? As part of our wilderness adventure, we are tackling the crazy glitzy urban jungle. My dad picked us up at Wrightwood and we've been living in the lap of luxury in his new house here for a couple days. We've seen the strip and even did a little gambling. For my birthday my parents bought Luke and I seats at Phantom of the Opera. It was so beautiful and all glammed up Vegas style. Ah, the PCT takes us to some awesome places.
When we left Big Bear City last week we were very excited to be back on the trail and met up with Heaps (from Australia) and Shad (from Georgia). It was fun cowboy camping with them after some long 21-23 mile days. As we near the Mojave the weather is warming up, but nights and early mornings are still chilly. We passed the 1/2 way point of the desert this week, 350 miles. Only 350 to go!
